Words for a Change

What changed? I often ask myself this question. Sure, I can make up an answer, but it's usually just empty words used as an excuse. What changed, really? Nothing. Maybe a lot.

I've decided to change this blog around to focus on quotes. Of course there are those famous quotes that you hear on a daily basis or ones you recognize when reading, but those are the ones that do not change me. Those familiar quotes are ones that you already know the meaning to because society has told you what it is. I like the quotes that are not meant to be thought about more than the moment you read them in a book or hear them on a movie or television show. I like the quotes that I have to stop and think about. That's when it starts to change me.

Yes, I keep telling myself I need to blog, but I never knew what to blog about. It was yesterday that sparked this new topic for me. Okay, I will admit that although I am out of college, I still love being a kid. I am sorry for those grown-ups that have no kid left in them. So the kid in me still loves to watch Disney channel, and there was a new movie that premiered called "Radio Rebel." I wasn't really looking forward to watching it because I was afraid I was "too old" for it, but oh my cupcakes, it was so inspiring! This movie stars Debby Ryan, and she did a phemoninal job. Go ahead and laugh at me for being so touched by a Disney Channel movie, but it wasn't just aimed at kids, it was aimed for anyone in society who is afraid to be themselves or step out of the boundaries to speak up for themselves or what they believe in.

After the movie was over, I went to my phone to write down a quote that I liked from it. Then I realized what this new blog would be based off of. Over the past year, I have been documenting quotes that stick out to me. By adding this new quote, I realized that I can use these quotes in my blog to draw inspiration to not only me, but share them with the world and hope it inspires someone just as it did me.

So I am going to give you homework. Don't go looking for quotes - let them come to you. Then write them down. Put them on your mirror to inspire you.

To leave you now, I am going to share the quote from the inspirational Disney Channel movie, "Radio Rebel."

"We have no idea what we are capable of." - Radio Rebel

Do what you think you can't. Do what you never thought was possible. You just may surprise yourself.
